This Catholic men’s group is based in Rockville, Maryland, rooted at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Norbeck Road, and welcomes men from St. Patrick’s as well as nearby parishes. We usually serve whiskey and beer (feel free to bring your favorite drink), but many of our men are sober and do not drink at all. Everyone is welcome and respected.
Meeting Time: Once a week
Schedule: We rotate meeting days between Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to accommodate different schedules. This allows more men to participate, especially those with weekly commitments like work, sports, or family activities.
Time: 8:30–10:30 p.m., with occasional longer conversations.
Meeting Format:
1st week – Check-In: We open with prayer, then each man gets 4–5 minutes to share how he’s been—struggles, successes, questions, or anything on his heart. After everyone shares, the floor opens for deeper conversation and support.
2nd week – Bible Study: We choose a passage of Scripture, read it together, and discuss it. The mix of perspectives leads to rich and meaningful conversation.
3rd week – Catechism Study: We read 2–3 selected sections of the Catechism and talk through what they mean and how they apply to daily life.
4th week – Hangout: A relaxed, unstructured night to talk, laugh, and build friendships. This is often where the deepest bonds form.
This group exists to help Catholic men make real friends, strengthen their faith, and build lasting brotherhood. Men of all ages and backgrounds come together to talk about life, faith, family, challenges, and the responsibilities of living as Christian men in today’s world.
We provide a consistent space to grow without pressure, pretense, or judgment. Some nights are structured, some are social, but all are centered on genuine fraternity and honest conversation.
If you are new to the area, searching for community, or hoping to deepen your relationship with Christ, you will find a welcoming environment and men who will walk with you. Here, you can find strong friendships, grow spiritually, and experience the kind of brotherhood that comes from living the Catholic faith together.
